Clyde Bonnici
Bio
Clyde joined GVZH as an Advocate in November 2024. Coming from a litigation background featuring pleadings before the Maltese Courts and the Industrial Tribunal, Clyde forms part of the firm’s employment department. He has an affinity for employment law, having previous experience of assisting Malta’s leading trade unions, as well as a keen interest in real estate and contract law.
Education & Court Admissions
Having read law at the University of Malta, Clyde holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree as well as a Master of Advocacy degree, which he acquired in 2022 and 2023 respectively. He subsequently sat for the bar exam and acquired his warrant to practice as an Advocate at the Courts of Malta. Clyde was awarded a Faculty of Laws Dean’s Award in 2022 for his LL.B. (Hons) dissertation titled ‘How do Administrative Law and Human Rights Law bind Private Entities in Malta?’, which, amongst other pertinent themes, discussed the procedural safeguards that must be adhered to in disciplinary actions against employees.
