Mario Vella

Bio

Mario Vella joined GVZH Advocates in July 2018 and has played a pivotal role as Head of Internal Finance, reporting directly to the Managing Partner. In 2024, Mario was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO), where he now oversees the firm’s entire financial strategy.

As CFO, Mario is responsible for financial planning, risk management, and investment strategy, ensuring alignment with the firm’s long-term goals. He continues to manage internal accounting operations, cash management, and statutory obligations, while providing high-level financial insights to guide executive decisions.

With extensive experience in the financial services sector and a history of leadership roles, Mario’s expertise is essential to GVZH Advocates’ ongoing success.

Education

Mario holds a warrant as a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and also a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants.

Mario is fluent in English, Maltese and Italian.
