Kurt Hyzler

Bio

Kurt Hyzler has accumulated extensive experience in investment funds and financial services regulationThroughout his career, he has successfully led several financial services licensing projects including various types of collective investment scheme structures (UCITS, Hedge funds and AIFs), investment services providers and financial institutions (Payment Services Providers and Electronic Money Institutions). He also regularly gives seminars and courses on the regulatory aspects of collective investment schemes licensed in Malta. 

Furthermore, Kurt is regularly engaged in complex cross border corporate acquisitions across various industry sectors and also has assisted lending syndicates or borrowers in various financing transactions. 

Education & Court Admissions

Kurt Hyzler graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2006 after submitting a doctoral thesis entitled ‘The Principle of Pari Passu in Corporate Insolvency Law’. Kurt was awarded the Chevening Scholarship in 2006 in order to further his studies at Queen Mary University London wherein 2007 he obtained a Master of Law degree from the University of London in Banking and Finance Law after sitting for examinations in Company Law, International Finance Law, Financial Services Law and Corporate Insolvency Law.
