Aloisia Cachia

Bio

Aloisia joined GVZH in February 2019 as an Accountant and is responsible for assisting clients with their day-to-day accounting requirements, including the preparation of management accounts up to the trial balance stage, the drafting of financial statements, and the preparation and submission of VAT and income tax returns, amongst others.

Aloisia handles the tax compliance matters of the GVZH clients’ accounting team, including the setting up of fiscal units, preparation and submission of consolidated tax returns, drafting of tax computations on a stand-alone and consolidated basis, assistance with the preparation and submission of personal tax returns, assistance with tax payments, assistance with the tax refund process, and more.

Aloisia kick-started her professional career in the taxation department at one of the Big Four Firms, but later decided to move to corporate services with a mid-tier firm to broaden her knowledge in accountancy. Aloisia also lectured on the ACCA F6 course.

Education

Aloisia holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Malta, majoring in Accountancy and Banking and Finance. Following that, Aloisia obtained a Distinction in her Master of Accountancy course. She also holds a Diploma in VAT Compliance and is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
