Michaela Giorgio
Bio
Michaela joined GVZH Advocates in March 2026 as a legal intern and currently forms part of the firm’s Corporate and M&A department. In this role, she assists on a range of corporate and transactional matters while continuing to develop her professional experience. Her areas of interest include corporate, commercial and business law, as well as competition, financial services, and intellectual property law.
Throughout her time at university, Michaela was actively involved in student activities, particularly through Għaqda Studenti tal-Liġi. She served as Resources Officer before progressing to Financial Officer, undertaking responsibilities related to student resources and financial administration.
Education & Court Admissions
Michaela graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Malta in 2025 and is currently reading for a Master of Advocacy. Her dissertation, titled “Works of Visual Art in the Public Domain,” examined Article 14 of the DSM Directive and its implications for the copyright protection of artworks. During her studies, she also participated in a student exchange programme with the University of Cambridge.

Michaela is fluent in English and Maltese and has an understanding of French.
