Amanda Vella


Amanda joined the firm as a trainee in 2014, subsequently taking on the role of Associate. Her main practice areas include iGaming law and Corporate and M&A Law (M&A).

Education & Court Admissions

Amanda is currently reading for a Masters in Corporate and Securities Law with the University of London. 

Amanda was called to the bar in 2017, after graduating Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2016, and submitting her thesis in the field of corporate law, where she examined whether rights granted to minority shareholders give them unfair leverage over the majority.  During her final year of studies, she spent a semester in Italy as part of the Erasmus Programme, where she read Anglo-American law and European Constitutional law at the Università degli studi di Perugia. 

 Amanda obtained the IFSP Foundation certificate in Trusts Law and Management, and the IFSP certificate in the course relating to virtual financial assets, in 2018.


Amanda is fluent in English and Maltese and has a basic knowledge of Italian.

Job Highlights

Amanda regularly assists various large i-gaming clients obtain gaming licences from the Malta Gaming Authority, and has continued to assist the latter both in relation to their corporate requirements, as well as compliance with their licences, and any other obligations imposed by the regulator.

Amanda also regularly assists clients in large merger and acquisition transactions.
